User guide (US English)

Manual version 3 · Published March 30, 2026 · Home tabs Pop-up Ride / Pack · Clubhouse (pack row labeled Pack Ride)

US wording: Pop-up Ride (same-day spontaneous ride; not “Flash Ride” in UI), Pack Ride for the tight nav + quick-ping group, Clubhouse for the calmer crew side. Older manual (legacy names) · 한국어

Ride with friends or your crew: share live locations, follow the same route, and talk in real time. Works for cars and motorcycles.

Getting started

1. First launch

  1. Terms & permissions: accept what’s required.
  2. Intro slides: three core features.
  3. Vehicle type: pick car or motorcycle.
  4. Location: allow access for sharing to work.

2. Car / motorcycle mode

  • Rooms and groups match your vehicle mode.
  • Mismatch with the room may block entry.
  • Change anytime under Settings → Map.

Rides & groups

3. Pop-up Ride vs Pack Ride & Clubhouse

Home has two tabs, tuned for US bike culture:

  • Pop-up Ride: same-day, spontaneous ride—little advance planning.
  • Pack · Clubhouse: ongoing groups. Pick Pack Ride (up to 30, formation riding, quick pings & shared nav—your pack) or Clubhouse (up to 99, lighter location sharing, no quick ping—your crew’s hangout).

4. Pop-up Ride rooms

Day-use room, up to 30 riders. Creator is host. Six-digit code to join. Ends when the host ends the ride or leaves.

5. Pack Ride & Clubhouse

  • Pack Ride (≤30): quick pings, shared route, voice—full pack riding.
  • Clubhouse (≤99): mostly see where everyone is; quick ping off (less noise).

Use the group panel on the map for members, chat, and admin. You can create up to 3 groups and join up to 5 at once.

6. Invite links

Open a MotoPing link from text or chat to jump straight into the room or group—no code typing.

Map & riding

7. Start / stop ride

  • Start ride: your position appears for teammates.
  • End ride: sharing stops immediately.

Tip: keep the app open on a mount; killing the app or backgrounding too long may pause updates.

8. Who receives my location / whom I see

Choose all joined groups or only selected ones; you can pause sending when riding solo.

9. Map bar

  • Back: home.
  • Route search: host only.
  • Quick ping: one-tap alerts.
  • Voice: group call.
  • Nav: turn-by-turn.

10. Landscape mode

Rotate for a wider map; controls cluster on the side for mounts and CarPlay-style use.

Communication

11. Quick ping

One tap for hazards, fuel, break, etc. Works in Pack Ride; not in Clubhouse mode.

12. Voice

Open mic for the group; mute yourself; drag the call bubble.

13. Chat

Text in the group panel when voice isn’t ideal.

Navigation & assists

14. Shared navigation

Host searches a destination; blue line syncs to everyone; each taps Nav for guidance.

15. Straggler alert

Optional voice warning if the last rider falls behind (Settings → Map, distance threshold).

16. Speed cameras

Where data exists: works during active nav; preload data under Settings. Always obey real signs.

17. Speed & weather

On-map speed (km/h or mph) and a small weather hint.

Settings & more

18. Bike spec search

From home, open Spec search for tire pressure, oil, etc.

19. Profile & app settings

Gear icon: nickname, avatar, language, replay onboarding, delete account.

20. Ads

Banner ads; short video when creating/joining a room—usually not when only starting a ride from the map. Banner removal codes in settings if you have one.
